-Who We Service:..
CYO provides services to gang-impacted and involved youth, their families and the communities where they reside in Fresno County, Santa Clara County, Alameda County, Monterey County and Sonoma County. Youth outreach and services are provided in homes, group homes, at schools, in community settings and juvenile correctional facilities to better access and serve our targeted youth.
CYO is always looking for new opportunities and partnerships to expand services to our targeted youth, their families and their communities. Please contact us if you wish to explore how we might work together in your community, school and/or facility.
– How We Service:..
CYO uses “time-tested practices” and “evidence based practices” that are applied with youth by combining knowledge about high-risk and gang lifestyles with interventions that connect youth with caring and responsible adults; incorporate risk avoidance, protective and resiliency asset development; and provide healthy opportunities for youth to join and feel part of pro-social groups.
CYO has developed the ability to provide effective youth and gang intervention services by hiring staff members who have themselves undergone rehabilitation and successfully overcome the high-risk and/or gang lifestyle. CYO’s diverse staff understand the personal impact these negative lifestyles have on youth and are effective role models who promote a healthy lifestyle, free of gangs, violence and drugs.
