CYO focuses its services on high-risk and gang-involved youth and their families in Santa Clara County, Alameda County, and Fresno County. Outreach and program services are provided in homes, group homes, at schools, in community and incarcerated settings to better serve youth.

CYO uses “best practices” in its work with youth by combining high-risk and gang lifestyle expertise with connecting youth with caring and responsible adults; incorporating risk avoidance, protective and resiliency asset development into our programs; and providing healthy opportunities for youth to participate and feel part of a pro-social group.
CYO has developed the ability to provide effective youth and gang intervention services by hiring staff members who have themselves undergone rehabilitation and successfully overcome the high-risk and gang lifestyle. CYO’s diverse staff understand the personal impact theses negative lifestyles have on youth and are effective role models who promote healthy lifestyle, free of violence and drugs. |
