CYO-SAN JOSE SERVICES

 

Leadership/Mentoring Services:

CYO provides Mentoring Services to youth between the ages of 12 and 18. Mentoring activities and services are conducted at the CYO Facility, three times a week, from 6-8 PM. Periodic outing and community service learning projects are also provided.

School Based Services:

CYO provides school based Services at the following locations:

Campbell Union High School District:

Youth/Gang Outreach Service:

CYO provides Youth/Gang Outreach Services City-wide/Targeted Areas in the City of San Jose. These services are provided weekly on a scheduled and off-schedule basis as needed for specific incidents, including crisis response to gang-related homicides. CYO also conducts Outreach Social/Recreation Activities throughout the year and conducts weekly Evening Gym Recreation activities at various locations in City.

Youth Intervention/Case Management Services:

CYO provides Youth Intervention/Case Management Services referred from Juvenile Court and Juvenile Probation on a selected basis.  CYO will formulate a service plan which can be implemented over a 30-60-90 day period, as well as, longer-term clients up to a year.   

Incarcerated Youth Services:

CYO conducts Life Skills/Gang Awareness Groups in Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall and Ranches servicing youth on a weekly basis in girls and boys units. The purpose of the groups is also to initiate community re-entry discussion and planning with youth and their families.

Training and Consultation Services:

CYO conducts community/parent gang awareness and staff development training on a scheduled basis for government and nonprofit agencies in the City of San Jose and Santa Clara County.  CYO also consults with other service providers on gang’s trends and service delivery strategies.
