Youth/Gang Outreach Service:

CYO provides Youth/Gang Outreach Services City-wide/Targeted Areas in the City of Oakland. These services are provided weekly on a scheduled and off-schedule basis as needed for specific incidents, including crisis response to gang-related homicides. CYO also conducts Outreach Social/Recreation Activities throughout the year and conducts weekly Evening Gym Recreation activities at various locations in City.

Youth Intervention/Case Management Services:

CYO provides Youth Intervention/Case Management Services referred from Juvenile Court, and Juvenile Probation on a selected basis.  CYO will formulate a service plan which can be implemented over a 30-60-90 day period, as well as, longer-term clients up to a year.  CYO is also implementing a Juvenile Justice Center-Wraparound Community Re-Entry Service for youth being released from Alameda County Juvenile Hall and Ranch.  

Incarcerated Youth Services:

CYO conducts Pre-Release one-on-one and group education planning activities for youth at the  Alameda County Juvenile Hall and Ranches as part of preparing the youth and their respective families for the release and re-entry of youth to the home and community setting.

Training and Consultation Services:

CYO conducts community/parent gang awareness and staff development training on a scheduled basis for government and nonprofit agencies in the City of Oakland and Alameda County.  CYO also consults with other service providers on gangs trends and service delivery strategies.
